Honda BR V NOx Sensor Faulty Connection
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Honda BR-V with a gasoline engine is experiencing a check engine light (CEL) due to a NOx sensor issue, accompanied by exhaust fumes and rough idling. The problem is suspected to be a faulty connection in the sensor's wiring or plug. The suggested solution is to have the connection checked and repaired at a workshop, which resolved the issue and restored the vehicle's performance.

Yeah, idle's a bit rough, and fuel consumption seems a tad higher. You think it's definitely the NOx sensor then?

Sounds exactly like what I experienced. Cable or plug connection was defective, which is a common issue for the NOx sensor on these. I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop.

Cheers! Took it to the shop, and you nailed it. Faulty connection. 95€ later, and she's purring like a kitten again. Appreciate the help!

I had a similar issue on my BR-V. Was the air-fuel ratio affected? Did you notice?
