Honda Crossroad MAF Sensor Symptoms
Summary of the thread
The 2008 Honda Crossroad exhibited increased fuel consumption, engine stalling when idling, a check engine light, and smoke during acceleration. These symptoms suggested a potential issue with the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, which can disrupt the air-fuel ratio. After consulting with a mechanic, it was confirmed that the MAF sensor was indeed the cause, and replacing it resolved the issues.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, it does hesitate a little sometimes, especially when I first start it up. What ended up being the problem with your Corsa? And what did it cost you to fix it? Was it definitely the MAF sensor in your case?

Yep, turned out to be the MAF sensor. All those symptoms pointed to it. If you're seeing smoke too, it's pretty likely. I'm no mechanic, but those sensors can cause havoc with the fuel mixture! Honestly, I'd say take it to a workshop to get it checked out properly. It could be something else, but the MAF is a good place to start looking.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a mechanic, and you were right – it was the MAF sensor. They replaced it, and everything seems to be running smoothly now. The total cost was around 365€, including parts and labor. Appreciate the help!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same problems with my old Opel Corsa a few years back. Check engine light, stalling, and all. I had no power when accelerating! Is it hesitating at all?
