Honda Life NOx Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Honda Life exhibited a check engine light and exhaust smell, with diagnostics indicating a NOx sensor error. The initial suspicion was a cable or plug issue. After professional inspection, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty NOx sensor connection due to a defective cable, which was subsequently repaired.

Mostly shorter city commutes and longer weekend trips. Can you share the error codes and what the repair was like on your Corsa?

Sure, from memory, the code was something like 'P2201 NOx Sensor Circuit Range/Performance'. I didn't troubleshoot it myself. Seeing as you smell exhaust, I'd recommend getting it checked out by a workshop. Could be worse than just the sensor itself.

Took it to a shop, and it was a faulty NOx sensor connection, like I thought. Defective cable. Repair was 95€. Thanks for confirming my suspicion and suggesting professional help. All fixed now.

Sounds familiar. Similar thing happened with my old Opel Corsa. Check engine light, emission sensor errors, the whole shebang. Didn't notice any exhaust smell though. What kind of driving do you usually do?
