Honda Life Seat Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2000 Honda Life with a gasoline engine has a defective seat heater that doesn't warm up, and diagnostics show an error. The suspected cause is the heating mat. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by replacing the heating element, suggesting that a visit to a repair shop for a potential replacement might be necessary.

It remains completely cold. There isn't any heat at all. Do you know whether replacing the heating element resolved the problem in your Opel?

In my case, the error was intermittent at first then got progressively worse until it stopped working completely. Eventually, yes, it did require a complete replacement of the heating element. I would suggest a visit to the workshop.

Thank you for the insight. I appreciate you sharing your experience with your Opel. I will schedule an appointment with my trusted repair shop to solve the issue. They quoted me around 390€ for parts and labor.

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Corsa. The error code pointed to the heating element, but I wasn't sure where to start. Does yours get even slightly warm, or is it completely cold?
