Honda Life Turn Signal Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Honda Life is experiencing turn signal errors, including faulty lights and error messages on the speedometer. The issue is suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug. A similar problem was resolved by checking the flasher relay and bulb holder for corrosion. Ultimately, the problem was identified as a corroded connection, which required a mechanic's intervention to fix.

Thanks for the reply. Were your symptoms exactly the same? Error message in the speedometer, plus an error code? Or was it just the light?

Ah, the joys of automotive gremlins! Yes, my symptoms matched yours almost exactly. The light was playing up, the dashboard lit up like it was trying to win a disco competition, and a code was thrown. Check the connections and bulb, but mine needed a workshop visit.

Understood. Thanks for confirming your symptoms mirrored mine. Based on your experience, I took it to a mechanic. It was a corroded connection, which cost 95€. Your input was invaluable.

I know this problem all too well. My Honda Life had the indicator acting up, like a dodgy Christmas tree light. I looked at the flasher relay first, but did you check the bulb holder itself? Sometimes they corrode.
