Thanks. I've inspected the wiring harness for obvious damage, but not thoroughly checked the connections. Could you give more detail about which connections are most susceptible to corrosion or loosening?

Focus on the main power connector to the ECU and the ground connections to the chassis. On my Insignia, the ground point near the battery was corroded. Given your symptoms, it's probably best to take it to a reputable workshop, they should be able to diagnose the issue with professional equipment.

Thanks for the advice. I followed up with a workshop. You were right, a faulty main relay was causing the ECU malfunction. Repair cost was 120€. The Honda Stream is now operating normally.

I had a similar experience with my 2016 Opel Insignia, also gasoline. Reduced power and ECU error codes. Have you checked the wiring harness and connections to the ECU? Sometimes corrosion or a loose connection can mimic a failing unit. Before condemning the ECU, ensure the power and ground circuits are solid.
