Honda XRV Check Engine Light and Stalling
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Honda XRV is experiencing a check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power, which began after a fuel filter change. The issue is suspected to be a faulty fuel pressure regulator. A similar case was resolved by confirming the regulator as the problem through a workshop error code reading, leading to a successful repair.

Yep, started right after the filter swap. Fuel pump seems okay, no weird noises or anything. Wondering if there's a way to confirm the regulator's the culprit before I start throwing parts at it?

Mine did the same thing after a filter change. Turned out to be a bad regulator. Honestly, without proper tools, diagnosing it yourself is tricky. I'd suggest a workshop visit to read the error entry.

Alright, thanks for the tip. Took it to the shop, error code confirmed the fuel pressure regulator. 45€ later, runs like new. Appreciate the help!

XRV owner here too! Reduced engine power and stalling... sounds awfully familiar. Did it happen right after the fuel filter change? Is the fuel pump working properly?
