I later found out that there was a problem with the cooling system - there was probably a leak somewhere that was constantly draining the coolant. I had to take it to the garage and they found the leak and replaced the hose, which was probably torn. So check whether coolant is leaking somewhere under your car. If you have symptoms like this, it's better not to continue driving the car, as this can be a serious problem. So, don't ignore it and take it to a garage quickly.

When I had the leak fixed, it cost me €625 - it wasn't cheap, but at least the component described was repaired properly afterwards.
