Thanks for the quick reply! Where exactly is the fuel filter heater located, and what should I be looking for when I check the connections? Any tips on what to wiggle or look for to see if that's the issue?

Okay, so the fuel filter is usually near the fuel tank, follow the fuel lines and you'll find it. The heater's a small component attached to the filter itself. Honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop. I tried fiddling with it myself and almost made it worse. It's probably a defective cable or plug connection like it was for me, but those diesels can be real sensitive. Trust me, it's worth the peace of mind!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – it was a defective cable connection to the fuel filter heater. They fixed it for 95€. Runs like new now!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my HRV, though it was a while back. Those symptoms sound familiar. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the fuel filter heater? That was the culprit for me. Seriously annoying!
