HRV Headlight Range Control Fault

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2017 Honda HRV hybrid. It's got about 168999 km on the clock. Recently, a headlight range control fault has appeared. The error is stored, and a warning light is constantly on. The low beams seem to be shining too far down or up. I've checked the headlight switch and electrical connectors, but they seem okay. Any ideas?

Hey, I had a similar issue with my HRV, though I didn't check the error memory. Same symptoms though – warning light and the beam being all over the place. Have you checked the auto-leveling system? It might be a problem with that. Is the control module working properly? I would check the servomotor; it's what actually moves the beam.

It's usually built into the headlight assembly itself. Honestly, checking the servomotor without the right tools is tricky. You could visually inspect the wiring and connectors leading to the servomotor for corrosion or damage, but beyond that, you're probably better off taking it to a workshop. In my case, it ended up being a defective servomotor. It’s a pain, I know.
