Thanks for the advice! I took it to my mechanic, and you were spot on! They replaced a camshaft solenoid valve. Cost me about 250€, but now it runs great, and the check engine light is gone!

I've got an Accent as well, and I actually had a similar issue not too long ago. Check engine light and all. Did you notice any difference in the car’s performance, perhaps when accelerating?
