Hyundai Entourage AC Failure
Summary of the thread
The 2007 Hyundai Entourage's air conditioning system is not functioning, with no cold air and the system failing to activate. The initial suspicion is valve issues, which could be a significant problem. Suggestions include checking the compressor clutch engagement and refrigerant levels, but ultimately, professional diagnostics are recommended. The workshop confirmed a valve issue, quoting 1000€ for the repair.

How would I check the refrigerant level myself? And where exactly is the compressor clutch located?

Checking refrigerant properly requires gauges, best left to a pro unless you're familiar. The compressor clutch is on the front of the AC compressor; you should see it engage/disengage when AC is turned on/off. But honestly, with those symptoms and your suspicion of valve issues, it does sound like a bigger problem. Probably best to take it to a workshop for proper AC diagnostics. Those valves can be a pain.

Hey, that sucks. Is the compressor clutch engaging at all? Any weird noises coming from the AC unit when you try to turn it on? Have you checked the refrigerant level? Could be a simple leak.
