Hyundai H1 heater blowing cold air

Help! My 2023 Hyundai H1 diesel's heater is blowing cold air! It's only done 148k km. The diagnostics threw an error, and I think it's the water valve. Could be a dodgy wire or plug. Anyone seen this?

Summary of the thread

A 2023 Hyundai H1 diesel's heater was blowing cold air, and diagnostics indicated an error, possibly related to the water valve. The issue was suspected to be caused by a faulty water valve or a corroded plug. After taking the vehicle to a mechanic, it was confirmed that the water valve and a corroded plug were the culprits, and the problem was resolved, restoring the heater's functionality.

Hey, I've not had that exact problem, but low heating output and an error code definitely points to the cooling system. Have you checked the coolant level? And is the engine reaching normal operating temperature?

Coolant level is fine, and the temp gauge seems normal. Could a bad water valve really kill the heat completely?

Yeah, a faulty water valve can definitely mess with the heater core's ability to get hot coolant. If the engine's not overheating and the coolant level is okay, and you've got an error code pointing to the valve, it's highly likely that's your culprit. Best to get it checked by a mechanic.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the shop, and you were spot on. It was indeed the water valve, and the plug was corroded. 95€ later, and the heater is blasting hot air again! Cheers!
