Hyundai ix35 engine stalling fuel composition error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Hyundai ix35 diesel is experiencing engine stalling and a check engine light, with an error indicating incorrect fuel composition. The issue is likely due to a faulty cable or plug connection to the fuel composition sensor. The recommended solution is to have a workshop diagnose and repair the connection, which resolved the problem in this case.

Where exactly is that sensor located? And is it easy enough to get to and check myself, or am I better off taking it to a mechanic?

It's near the fuel filter. I tried checking it myself, but honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. It's probably the cable/plug, but best to get it diagnosed properly. That's what fixed it for me.

Thanks for the tip! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – defective cable/plug connection on the fuel composition sensor. They fixed it for 95€. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar with my ix35. Have you checked the cable and plug connections to the fuel composition sensor? Could be a dodgy connection messing with the readings.
