i10 Diesel Glow Plug Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Hyundai i10 diesel is experiencing an issue where the preheating lamp remains illuminated after starting, accompanied by a glow plug error code. This suggests a potential problem with the glow plugs. A similar case was resolved by replacing all the glow plugs, which immediately fixed the issue. It is recommended to have a mechanic inspect and possibly replace the glow plugs to resolve the problem.

No rough idling or engine misfires, just the illuminated preheating lamp and the error code. What was the resolution in your case? Was it a faulty glow plug?

Sounds like a glow plug issue, like mine. I had all the glow plugs replaced, and the problem vanished immediately. It's akin to replacing a faulty light bulb. Although it could be something minor like a relay, it's probably best to get it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks for your assistance. Your input confirms my suspicions. I'll get a mechanic to inspect and replace the glow plugs. I expect the repair to be around 440€.

I own an i10 diesel too, and this sounds familiar! It's like when your house lights stay on. I had the same symptoms last year: the preheating lamp refusing to turn off and a corresponding error code. Any rough idle or engine misfires?
