i40 rear ventilation malfunction

I own a 2019 Hyundai i40 with a gasoline engine. Recently, the climate control unit malfunctioned, specifically the rear ventilation. The air conditioning no longer cools in the back, and an error is stored. Diagnostics point towards a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks for your input. I've inspected the fuses, and they seem to be in order. Regarding the flap actuator, is it easily accessible, or does it require dismantling parts of the interior to reach it? I'm wondering how difficult it will be to check the connections myself.

Based on your description and the fact that an error is stored, plus your fuse check coming up clean, it's likely the actuator or its wiring. Getting to it can be tricky, often tucked behind panels. If you're not super confident, I'd recommend a workshop. A diagnostic check and repair shouldn't break the bank.
