Impala Jerking Acceleration Misfire
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Chevrolet Impala is experiencing rough running, a check engine light, and jerking during acceleration, possibly due to combustion misfires. The issue is suspected to be caused by a defective fuel injector. It is recommended to have the vehicle diagnosed at a workshop to confirm the problem and identify the specific injector causing the issue. The workshop confirmed the defective injector, leading to a repair.

Were your symptoms also present under acceleration, specifically the jerking? Did you attempt any troubleshooting steps yourself before addressing the matter?

Yeah, the jerking was definitely there, especially when trying to get up to speed. I tried cleaning the MAF sensor and checking the spark plugs, but nothing really fixed it. Honestly, I'd suggest getting it diagnosed properly at a workshop. They can pinpoint which injector is causing the problem.

I took the car to a workshop, and, as suspected, they found a defective fuel injector. The total repair cost was 515€. Thanks for your assistance.

Sounds like you might be spot on with the misfire idea. I had similar symptoms a while back – rough idle, check engine light. Have you checked for any specific error codes? It could also be fuel pump related, but the jerking makes me think it's more likely a fuel injector issue.
