Thanks for sharing your experience! Mine's at 48184 KM, and I just had it serviced last month. Would be great if it's just a software issue like yours, but I'm a bit worried it might be something more serious since the symptoms persist even after restarting the car multiple times. No other recent work done except for regular maintenance. Has anyone else experienced these symptoms lasting even after multiple restarts?

Hey again! Yeah, I totally get your concern about the persistent symptoms. After reading about your mileage and recent service, I'm actually thinking this might be different from what I experienced with my FX. In my case, while the initial symptoms were similar, they would sometimes clear up after a restart. But since yours keeps acting up even after multiple restarts, it reminds me of another issue I had with my FX about two years ago. That time, it turned out to be a faulty fuel pressure sensor, which was causing similar symptoms power loss, check engine light, and starting problems. The repair for that was a bit more involved than just the ECU reset I mentioned earlier. Cost me around 400€ including parts and labor, and the car was in the shop for about a day. But what a difference it made once it was fixed! Since you've just had it serviced, maybe have them check the fuel system? These Infiniti diesels can be a bit finicky with their sensors. Have you noticed any weird sounds or vibrations along with these symptoms? That might help narrow things down a bit more.

Thanks for the detailed response! That's really helpful information about the fuel pressure sensor sounds pretty similar to what I'm experiencing. And no, I haven't noticed any unusual sounds or vibrations, which makes me think you might be onto something with the sensor theory. I'll definitely get the fuel system checked out. 400€ sounds way better than what I was imagining for a potential cylinder repair! I'll make an appointment with my mechanic tomorrow and specifically ask them to look at the fuel system and sensors. Thanks again for all your help really appreciate you sharing your experiences with your FX. I'll update the thread once I find out what's actually wrong with mine.

Hey there! I've got some experience with diesel engines, though I'd say I'm at a low-to-medium expertise level. I actually faced something very similar with my 2008 Infiniti FX diesel last year. Had almost identical symptoms to what you're describing. Turned out there were some stored error codes that were causing conflicts in the ECU's programming, leading to these issues. Luckily, my regular workshop managed to sort it out by doing a complete diagnostic scan and clearing all the error memory. Didn't cost me anything since it was just a software-related issue. They just needed to reset everything properly. Car's been running fine since then. Could you share some more details about your EX? Like the engine size and mileage? Also, have you had any other work done on it recently? This info would help me understand if you're dealing with the same thing I experienced.
