Fluctuating RPMs nailed it! And yeah, I poked around, didn't see any obvious cracks, but things are pretty cramped in there. How did you eventually sort it out with your Astra? Did you end up replacing the whole mount?

Yeah, eventually I did replace the whole mount. I didn't see any cracks at first either, but the garage guys spotted it right away. Given the error codes and the rough idling, and since you've got a hybrid, I'd say take it to a decent workshop. Better safe than sorry, especially with electrics involved!

Cheers! Workshop it is. Turns out, it WAS the engine mount. Cable connection was indeed defective, like I thought. Cost me about 95€ to fix. Appreciate the advice!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I had similar vibration issues with my old 2014 Opel Astra. By uneven idling, do you mean the RPMs are fluctuating even when you're not touching the gas pedal? Engine mount wear can cause that. Did you check the mounting bracket for any cracks or damage?
