Thanks for the reply! Yes, the noisy engine running is mostly noticeable after a cold start, but occasionally it persists a little longer. No other unusual sounds or vibrations that I can pinpoint. Did your issue also involve the exhaust noise and error codes?

Yes, exhaust noise louder than usual was one of my symptoms too, along with error codes. Best to get it checked at a workshop; could be a defective flap motor or something similar. They should be able to diagnose it properly. Prevent any long term damage.

Thanks for confirming. I suspected as much. I took it to the shop. Turns out, it was indeed exhaust flap. They replaced it, and the total repair cost was 190€. Car runs like new now!

Strange. I had a similar problem with my Insight. Is the noisy engine running only after a cold start? I suspect it could be the flap motor. Are you noticing any other unusual sounds or vibrations?
