Insignia AC Compressor Issues

Good questions! Now that you mentioned it, I have noticed the infotainment system acting a bit funky lately, freezing up randomly. And as for the refrigerant pressure, no, I haven't had it checked yet. Should that be the first thing I do? Is there anything I could look at myself before I start ripping everything apart?

Okay, the infotainment system thing is interesting. Given that, coupled with the A/C issue, there's a good chance you're dealing with an undervoltage problem somewhere in the vehicle's electrical system. I'd still recommend getting the refrigerant pressure checked to rule out a simple leak. However, the undervoltage could be causing the A/C compressor to shut off prematurely. At this point a trip to a workshop might be worth your time, and save you headaches down the road

So, finally got it looked at. Turns out it was an undervoltage issue causing the A/C compressor to shut down! They sorted out the electrical gremlins, re-gassed the AC, and it's now blowing colder than a polar bear's toenails. Cost me 240€, but so worth it, especially with summer coming. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

That's not ideal. Given the error code and the intermittent nature of the problem, it's a bit tricky. When the A/C cuts out, have you noticed any other electrical issues, like the headlights dimming or the infotainment system acting up? Also, have you had the refrigerant pressure checked? A low refrigerant level could also cause these symptoms and trigger an error related to the A/C system.
