Insignia Climate Control Failure

My 2010 Vauxhall Insignia diesel's climate control panel is completely dead. Error's stored, the heating is blowing out cold air, and the AC won't even think about turning on. Anyone else had this before? It's got 214025 km on the clock. Any ideas before I lose it completely?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen in my Insignia. Have you checked the power supply to the control panel itself? Seems like a defective cable or plug connection could cause those exact symptoms. Is the panel completely unresponsive, or are there any signs of life at all?

Completely dead, no lights, no response to button presses, nothing. Where exactly should I be poking around for this cable or plug connection? Is it easy to get to, or am I looking at dismantling half the dashboard?

Yeah, if it's totally dead, I'd bet on the power supply. Honestly, it can be a pain to get to. While you might be able to trace the wires, it's probably best to just take it to a workshop. They should be able to diagnose it quickly and repair any damaged wiring. It will save you the headache.

I appreciate the advice. I bit the bullet and took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. Dodgy connector. 95€ and I've got climate control again. Thanks!
