Insignia Door Locking Failure

I've got a 2019 Vauxhall Insignia with a gasoline engine, around 230306 km on the clock. I think I've got a faulty door contact signal. One of the doors won't lock or unlock, either manually or with the central locking. I'm guessing it's a defective cable or plug. Anyone else had this?

I had a similar issue with my Insignia. Check the wiring harness where it passes from the door to the body. The constant opening and closing can cause the wires to fray or break. Have you checked the relevant fuses? That would be the first thing to investigate.

Thanks for the wiring harness and fuse tip. I'll check those. Do you remember which door it was on yours, and were there any other symptoms besides the locking/unlocking?

It was the driver's door in my case. If it is the wiring like it was on my car, you might find it difficult to repair yourself. I would recommend getting it booked into a workshop.

Thanks for confirming it was the driver's door and for the workshop recommendation. I checked the wiring, agreed with you, and booked it in. Turns out it was a defective plug connection. Total repair cost was 95€ Thanks again for your advice.
