Insignia low tire pressure ABS and steering issues

My 2019 Vauxhall Insignia with a gasoline engine is throwing a low tire pressure warning, even after inflating all tires to the recommended PSI. The ABS lamp lights up intermittently, and the steering wheel vibrates, requiring increased effort, almost like the power steering is failing. Could a faulty tire sensor really cause all this? Mileage is at 236203 km.

Interesting. I've got an Insignia too and I had something similar last year. Did you check the tire pressure with a separate tire gauge, or just rely on the car's system? What does the tire gauge read?

Good point. I only trusted the car's display. I'll check them with a tire gauge now. But even if the pressure is fine, could a defective valve in the tire trigger such a cascade of errors, affecting the ABS and power steering? That seems like a stretch, doesn't it?

Well, in my case, the gauge confirmed a slow leak due to a defective valve, which the car's system struggled to register accurately, triggering the low pressure warning and other errors intermittently, too. Workshop time, I'm afraid, to avoid further damage.

Thanks for the insight. You were spot on. Turns out it was indeed a defective valve in one of the tires. New valve and sensor installed, balanced all around, and the errors are gone. Cost me 280€ in the end.
