Insignia radar sensor fault

I'm pulling my hair out! I've got a 2015 Vauxhall Insignia, gasoline engine, and the radar sensor seems to have packed it in. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, a warning light, and it's thrown a bunch of error codes. Adaptive cruise is totally dead, and a bunch of other driver assistance systems are acting wonky. Is this thing totaled? Anyone seen this before?

I have an Insignia as well. I had similar symptoms a while back: the error messages, the disabled driving assistance... it's frustrating, I know. Have you checked if the sensor itself is clean? Road grime can play havoc with those things.

Thanks for the quick reply! I did give the sensor a wipe, but honestly, I just used a cloth and some water. Should I be using something special to clean it? And where exactly is the sensor, anyway? I just wiped what I thought was the general area, haha.

While a general cleaning is a commendable first step, it might not suffice. The sensor's location varies slightly, but it's typically behind the front bumper, near the grille. Accessing it might require partial bumper disassembly. Regarding cleaning agents, avoid anything abrasive. However, given the persistent errors and system failures, it is advisable to visit a workshop. I went to the workshop and they told me that the sensor was dirty.

Just wanted to say thanks for the advice. Turns out the sensor was indeed just filthy! I took it to a shop, they gave it a proper clean (and checked the alignment), and everything is working perfectly again. Cost me a grand total of 45€.
