Thanks. I will retrieve the error code. Where is the dimmer switch located on this model? Is it integrated within the headlight switch assembly or separate? If separate, where might I find it?

On the 2019 Insignia, the dimmer switch is usually integrated into the headlight switch assembly. Given the random activation and the stored error, the issue could stem from a defect there, or in its wiring harness. Although it could be fixed by finding the exact cable or plug causing the issue, I would suggest taking it to a workshop to diagnose the source of the defect with specialized tools. This will avoid further damaging the electrical system.

I appreciate your detailed assistance. Following your advice and consulting a technician, it was indeed a defective connection within the headlight switch assembly. The repair, including parts and labor, amounted to 95€ Thank you again for pointing me in the right direction.

Sounds like a short. Have you checked the dimmer switch? A faulty dimmer can cause erratic behavior. When you say "error stored in the error memory", do you have the specific error code? That would help narrow down the problem. The random activation does suggest a potential problem with a cable or plug connection.
