Insignia Windshield Washer Heater Fault

Hi, I have a 2021 Vauxhall Insignia with a gasoline engine. I'm experiencing issues with the windshield washer heater. The error memory stores a fault, and the spray nozzles freeze at cold temperatures. From what I've gathered, the likely cause is a defective cable or plug connection to the component. Has anyone else encountered this?

I had a similar problem with my Insignia. The washer heater malfunctioned, and I got the same freezing nozzle issue. Have you checked the connection to the washer motor itself? Sometimes a loose plug can cause this.

Thanks for the tip! By 'washer motor,' are you referring to the pump that sprays the fluid, or is there a separate motor specifically for the heater element? I want to make sure I'm checking the right connection.

Yes, I am referring to the pump that sprays the fluid. The heater element is usually integrated with that assembly. However, I suspect you will need professional help to diagnose the problem, as I did with mine. In my case, I had to go to the workshop.

Thanks for the confirmation and advice! I appreciate it. I went to the workshop, and they found a defective cable connection just as suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Problem solved!
