Inspire Brake Booster Pressure Sensor Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Honda Inspire is experiencing a brake booster pressure sensor failure, leading to an error message and reduced braking performance. The issue may be linked to recent brake bleeding, which could have been done incorrectly, affecting the sensor's readings. A suggested solution is to have the brake system re-bled properly and the error codes cleared, with the possibility of replacing the sensor if it remains faulty. Seeking professional assistance is recommended to ensure the brake system's safety and functionality.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I did bleed the brakes recently. That's interesting... So, you think incorrect bleeding could actually damage the sensor or just give a false reading? Any idea what the fix was for you?

Well, I wouldn't say it damages the sensor permanently, but it definitely throws things out of whack. In my case, the shop re-bled the system properly, and the light went off after they cleared the error codes. If the sensor is truly faulty, you'd need a replacement, and I think they're not too expensive. But, honestly, I'd get it checked by a professional. A faulty brake system is not something to play around with. I believe the repair was about 90€.

Thanks a lot for the insight! I'll take it to a workshop and mention the bleeding issue and the sensor. Hopefully, it's just that and not a faulty sensor. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I had something similar happen on my Inspire. Not sure if it's the exact same thing, but my brake pedal felt really spongy, and the ABS light was on. I'm no expert, but did you recently bleed the brake system? I remember reading somewhere that incorrect bleeding can mess with the brake booster and throw off the sensor.
