Inspire Knock Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Honda Inspire is experiencing issues such as a check engine light, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling, leading to suspicion of a knock sensor problem. The symptoms align with a faulty knock sensor, which could be due to the sensor itself or a poor connection. After inspection and replacement of the knock sensor, the issues were resolved, confirming the initial diagnosis.

I scanned it and it’s flagging the knock sensor. Yes, it feels like it's lost a bit of its poke. It started intermittently, but now it seems permanent. So, you reckon it was definitely the knock sensor for you, then?

Yeah, symptoms sound bang on. I'd say it's almost certainly the knock sensor, and it's probably either the sensor itself, or the connection to it. I wouldn't mess with it too much, it's not worth causing more damage. I’d get it booked in somewhere.

I had a look at the plug and it seemed ok. Took it to the shop and you were spot on - knock sensor. Replaced it, and all is good. Bill came to 95€. Appreciate the help!

I had similar symptoms, though I didn't check the consumption. Do you have any idea what the error code was, and did the car seem a little underpowered? I have an Inspire too, and I remember it being the same knock sensor. Does it only happen sometimes, or is it all the time now?
