Inspire transmission issues
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Honda Inspire hybrid is experiencing transmission issues, including non-functional paddle shifters, gearbox slippage, rough shifting, grinding noises, and entering limp mode, accompanied by an error code. These symptoms suggest a potential defect in the transmission control unit (TCU). The recommended solution is to have a professional workshop conduct a thorough transmission diagnosis and repair, as it may be beyond a simple DIY fix.

Thanks. Yes, 'emergency mode' is limp mode. I have an error code, but I need to check the exact code. Are you saying you had a defective transmission control unit too? What was your solution?

Yeah, sounds like the TCU to me. My shop confirmed it with a proper transmission diagnosis. They mentioned affected control units being defective. Honestly, you should just take it to a reliable workshop. It is probably more than you can handle on your own.

Thanks for the advice. I'll book an appointment with a trusted workshop for a diagnosis and repair. They're estimating around 1000€ for the repair. Thanks again for the help.

Hey, I had similar issues with my Inspire (same generation, don't remember the year). My symptoms weren't exactly the same, but close. Is the 'emergency mode' you are talking about limp mode? And do you have an error code?
