Integra handsfree microphone failure
Summary of the thread
The hands-free microphone in a 2005 Honda Integra stopped working, affecting telephony and voice recognition. Initial attempts to resolve the issue through a factory reset were unsuccessful, indicating a potential hardware defect within the infotainment system. The recommended solution was to consult a professional workshop, which confirmed the system's fault and repaired it, restoring functionality.

I've tried the factory reset, but it didn't fix the issue. And yes, voice recognition is also failing. Any further ideas?

Given the failure of both the hands-free microphone and voice recognition after a factory reset, the root cause is likely a hardware defect within the infotainment system itself. Unfortunately, there's little you can do without specialized diagnostic equipment. I would recommend consulting a reputable workshop for professional assistance. For me, it was worth the cost.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the infotainment system was faulty. Repair cost me 815€. At least I can make calls again.

I understand your frustration. Hands-free systems can be intricate. The error in memory points to a deeper issue within the infotainment system. Have you tried resetting the system to its factory defaults? This has resolved similar glitches in other Hondas. Does the voice recognition system also fail, or is it solely the Bluetooth connection during calls?
