Interstar boost pressure sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2006 Nissan Interstar diesel exhibited issues such as an intermittent check engine light, jerking during acceleration, a whistling noise, engine stalling, higher fuel consumption, and reduced power. The suspected cause was a defective boost pressure sensor cable and plug connection. Cleaning the contacts provided no lasting solution, leading to a workshop diagnosis that confirmed a faulty boost pressure sensor and corroded connector, which were replaced to resolve the problem.

I cleaned the contacts, but the issue persists. What specific symptoms did you have with your Peugeot? Did cleaning the contacts give any temporary relief, or was a replacement needed?

On my Peugeot, cleaning the contacts gave me maybe a day or two of relief, but the light and power loss always came back. If cleaning didn't solve it permanently, it's pointing to a deeper problem, possibly a failing sensor. Get it properly diagnosed at a workshop before replacing parts.

Based on your experience and the persistent problem, I took it to a workshop for diagnosis. It was a faulty boost pressure sensor, and replacing it, along with the corroded connector, cost 95€.

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar experience with my old Peugeot: check engine light, loss of power, the works. Turned out to be a bad connection to the MAP sensor, which is similar to a boost pressure sensor. Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the plug and sensor?
