Ioniq Door Lock Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Hyundai Ioniq EV is experiencing door lock failures, suspected to be due to a faulty contact signal, possibly from a bad cable or plug. A similar issue was resolved by checking the wiring harness in the door, as wires can become brittle and crack over time. The suggested solution is to inspect the wiring by removing the door panel or to take the vehicle to a workshop for professional repair.

Brittle wires, huh? Where exactly should I be looking for the harness? Is it behind the door panel? Fuses are all good by the way.

Yeah, you'll need to get the door panel off to really get a good look. Honestly, at this point, with 136350 km on the clock, and knowing it could be a pain to diagnose, I'd just take it to a workshop. I ended up doing that, and it cost me 95€ to fix.

Appreciate the heads-up! Sounds like it’s not worth the hassle trying to fix myself. Workshop it is! Thanks for the advice.

I've got an Ioniq too, and I had something similar happen. Check the wiring harness where it goes into the door. Seems like those wires can get brittle and crack over time with all the opening and closing. Did you check your fuses?
