No other warning lights or malfunctions occurred concurrently, just the sudden failure of the multifunction steering wheel. Before I disassemble the steering wheel, could you elaborate on the similarities you experienced?

Right, no warning lights, just dead. I'd hoped it was a fuse, but no such luck. Given your mileage and symptoms lining up with mine, and considering the risk of airbag involvement, wouldn't you agree that a workshop visit might be the safest bet?

Thanks for confirming. Diagnostics pointed to a defective cable connection in the steering wheel, as suspected. Repair cost 95€. Problem solved.

Multifunction steering issue, huh? I've got an Ioniq too, and that sounds painfully familiar. Was anything else acting up? Did you notice any other warning lights or system malfunctions around the same time this started?
