Ioniq5 Parking Aid Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is experiencing a parking aid fault, rendering the parking assistant non-functional, with an error stored in the system. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by repairing faulty wiring to a parking sensor, suggesting that a workshop visit for diagnosis and repair could be a practical solution.

I visually inspected the sensors, but saw nothing obvious. Was your issue also intermittent, or constant failure?

Mine was constant. After some troubleshooting, the workshop diagnosed it as faulty wiring to one of the parking sensors. They repaired the connection, and the problem disappeared. Just go to the workshop, it's not worth the hassle.

Thanks for the insight. I'll book it in. The expected repair cost is around 95€, so I hope it will be a similar quick fix.

Sounds familiar. Had the exact same symptoms on my old BMW 3 series. Was skeptical it was just a cable at first. Did you check the ultrasonic sensors for obvious damage?
