iQ oil pressure warning light
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Toyota iQ with 132,190 km has an oil pressure warning light issue. The problem might be due to a faulty engine oil temperature sensor, defective cable, or plug. A similar case confirmed the temperature sensor as the cause, suggesting a workshop visit for error code diagnosis and sensor replacement.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Thanks! I'm not sure about the exact error code right now. Was it definitely the temperature sensor? And did you have similar symptoms?

Yeah, pretty sure it was the temp sensor. Exact same symptoms too, oil light and all. Get the error code read, but honestly? Just take it to a workshop. Messing with the oil system can be a pain.

Thanks for the advice. I'll go to the workshop to get the error code diagnosed and the sensor replaced. The estimated repair cost is 95€. Thanks again!

Hey, I had something similar with my iQ. Oil pressure light, plus a general warning. It was the temp sensor, yeah. What error code are you getting?
