Hey, thanks for the info. That sounds exactly like my problem. Do you remember how much you paid for the repair? And have you had any problems with the alarm system since then? I'd really like to sort this out once and for all.

Hey, no problem, always happy to help! So, I've had another look at my documents. The repair costs for the emergency siren were €405. That wasn't exactly a bargain, but since I've had the car at the mechanic, there have been no more problems with the siren's communication error. It's been running for a while now without any faults. So, I'd say it was worth it, although it was a fair bit of money. Hope this helps you!

Oh dear, that's a lot of money! But if it helps to solve the problem for good, I think it's worth it. Thank you very much for your detailed reply and help. I guess I'll have to take my Skoda to the garage then. I hope the mechanics do their job properly this time. Thanks again for the tip!

Servus, Has the vehicle been read out to see if a fault code for the alarm system has been stored? It sounds to me as if a sensor is simply going crazy, such as a door contact sensor or something like that.

Hi, I can understand how frustrating this must be. I drive a 2015 Skoda Octavia and had similar problems with the alarm system. In the end it turned out that it was actually a communication problem between the siren and the alarm system. The technicians in the workshop had to reset the entire alarm system to get it working again. That was a very annoying incident, but it has been working perfectly ever since. Hope this helps you.
