Hey, thanks for the feedback! Sounds like this could really be my problem. Do you remember how much the whole thing ended up costing you in repair costs at the mechanic? And did you encounter any other problems after the repair? I really don't want a nasty surprise...

Hey, sure, no problem! I paid €345 to repair the internal mechanics of the throttle valve. It wasn't exactly cheap, but since then the problem with the throttle potentiometer is history. Since the visit to the mechanic, I've had no further problems - the car is now running like clockwork again. So cheer up, after that your car should run smoothly again. Good luck!

Hey, that's very helpful info, thanks a lot! This is pretty expensive, but if it helps make my ride safe and trouble free again, I think it's definitely worth it. I'll get my mechanic on it asap and hopefully have a similarly good experience. Thanks again for your help and fingers crossed that all goes well!

Hi, experienced the same trouble with my 2014 Toyota Hilux. It showed similar symptoms. After my mechanic went through it, it came out that the internal mechanics of the throttle body was faulty. It was actually a serious thing because the car became unpredictable, which can be dangerous when driving. They had to replace the entire throttle body as it was not practical to repair it. It definitely breathed new life into my car, has been running like clockwork ever since. Hope this helps!
