ix20 rough engine running
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Hyundai ix20 diesel with 184,000 km is experiencing rough engine running and a check engine light, with an error related to 'reset quantity drift compensation.' The suspected cause is a defective injector. After visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that injector 3 was faulty, and replacing it resolved the issue.

Yeah, I've glanced at the injector values. They seem a bit off, but I don't have a solid baseline for comparison. Was your Astra throwing the exact same 'drift compensation' code, or something similar?

Not the exact same code, but the underlying issue was the same: the ECU was struggling to compensate for an out-of-spec injector. I'd say it's time for a visit to a decent workshop. They can perform diagnostics and give you a definite answer.

Right, I appreciate the insight. Took it to the workshop, turns out injector 3 was the culprit. New injector and a system reset set me back 515€ but all seems fine now.

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms on my old Vauxhall Astra, although it was the petrol version. Rough running, CEL, and the error codes pointed to airflow sensors messing with the fuel trim. Have you checked the injector values?
