I have inspected the battery terminals and they seem fine. Could you elaborate on the specific nature of the fault you encountered, and detail any diagnostic procedures you undertook to identify the defective component? Did you experience problems with low battery charge?

Yeah, after cleaning the terminals didn't fix it, I took it to a workshop. They ran a full diagnostic and it turned out to be a faulty battery sensor. Messed with the charging and caused all sorts of weird electrical issues. I'd suggest getting it checked out professionally.

Based on your recommendation, I arranged for a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation at a reputable automotive service center. The diagnosis confirmed the defective battery sensor, and the repair, including parts and labor, amounted to 315€. Thanks again for your time and assistance.

Hey, I've got an ix35 too. Sounds like the same problem I had a while back. Weak starts and the lights were all over the place. Did you check the battery terminals for corrosion or loose connections? That's usually the first thing to look at.
