ix35 Multifunction Steering Wheel Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Hyundai ix35 experienced a failure in the multifunction steering wheel, with no controls working and an error logged. The initial suspicion was a faulty cable connection within the wheel. Another person suggested the possibility of a control module or sensor issue. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a defective cable connection in the steering wheel, which was resolved at a cost of 95€.

Control module, eh? Interesting. Any specifics on your issue? Was it a total failure like mine or just intermittent?

It was total failure, yes. I tinkered a bit, but in the end, I took the car to my workshop and, honestly, everything works perfectly now. I know that's not super specific, but the car runs great now!

Cheers. Seems likely it's the same gremlin. I'll get it checked out. It turned out to be a defective cable connection in steering wheel at the end. Cost me 95€. Thanks for the input!

Strange, I had a similar issue with my ix35. Are you sure it's the cable and not something in the control module, like a sensor issue perhaps?
