Jade automatic transmission defective
Summary of the thread
A 2017 Honda Jade with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with the automatic transmission in the parking position, preventing the engine from starting and causing the check engine light to illuminate. The gearbox also slips, and an error is stored in the memory, leading to the suspicion of a defective control unit. A similar issue was resolved by replacing the control unit, and it is recommended to have the vehicle checked at a workshop.

Yes, it does feel like the park brake is stuck. Shifting is difficult too. Was your issue also related to the control unit?

Most likely. My mechanic told me it was a common issue and had to replace it. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the info. It seems like it's indeed a defective control unit. I'll take it to the workshop to get it sorted. The estimated repair cost is around 1000€.

I have a Jade too, and had something similar happen. Does it feel like the park brake is stuck, and is it hard to shift out of park?
