Jade Seat Heater Failure
Summary of the thread
The seat heater in a 2017 Honda Jade hybrid is not working, and an error code is present. The issue is suspected to be with the seat heating mat. Initial checks of the fuse and wiring showed no problems, suggesting the heating mat itself might be faulty. Replacing the heating mat is complex and requires specialized tools, so it is recommended to have the repair done by a professional workshop.

Thanks! Fuse seems fine. Wiring looks okay too, nothing obviously disconnected. If it is the heating mat, is it a big job to replace?

If the wiring and fuse are both fine, then yes, the heating mat itself is likely the issue. It's not a simple task. It involves removing the seat, disassembling the cushion to access the mat, and then replacing it. You'll need specialized tools. I'd advise taking it to a workshop. They'll have the right equipment and expertise to handle it properly and avoid damaging anything.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I appreciate you confirming my suspicions and explaining the process. I'll book it in with a local garage. They quoted me around 390€ for the heating repair, including parts and labor. Sounds reasonable, I hope!

I've experienced something similar with my Jade. If you mean the heating element within the seat, a faulty one could cause those symptoms. Check the wiring and connections under the seat first for a loose connection. If those are fine, it probably is the heating mat itself. Did you check the fuse?
