Jade Solar Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation centers around a solar sensor fault in a 2015 Honda Jade hybrid, leading to reduced heating output. The initial diagnosis suggests a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion is made to check the sensor calibration and inspect the connector for corrosion or loose wires. If the issue persists, professional diagnostics and recalibration at a workshop are recommended.

Thanks for the quick reply! When you mention 'sensor calibration,' could you explain that process? Can it be done with an OBDII scanner, or does it need special equipment? I'm comfortable with basic diagnostics, but I'm unsure about calibrating the solar sensor on the Jade.

No worries! Honestly, I tried messing with it myself, but without the right software, I couldn't get anywhere. I'd still check the physical connections, but if the error persists after that, I’d take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose it and recalibrate the sensor if needed.

I appreciate the advice. I inspected the connections as suggested, but the error persists. Given your experience and the need for specialized tools, I'll book an appointment with a good workshop. They quoted about 95€ for the repair, which seems reasonable. Thanks again for your help!

Hey! I think I know what you're talking about. I had a similar issue with my Honda Jade a while back. Same symptoms – weak heat and a persistent sensor error. I'd check the sensor calibration first. It might just need a reset. Also, give the connector a good look for any corrosion or loose wires. Could save you a trip!
