Thanks for sharing your detailed experience. Your diagnosis about the transmission cooling system seems spot on, especially with those specific symptoms. The pressure sensor and cooling fan issues you mentioned match what I went through with my E Pace last winter. Quick question, do you remember roughly how much the complete repair ended up costing? Also wondering if youve had any oil cooler or cooling system problems since getting it fixed? My radiator coolant and pressure readings are still concerning me a bit, so Im keeping a close eye on leak detection. Always good to be proactive with these issues.

Glad I could help point you in the right direction. After seeing my mechanic about the pressure sensor issue, it turned out to be a relatively simple fix. The faulty radiator oil pressure reading was caused by a damaged cable connection to the sensor unit. The total repair came to 95€, which was just for fixing the connector. Much less than I initially feared when facing those transmission warnings. Since the repair, the cooling system has worked flawlessly, no more transmission slipping or warning lights. I still regularly check the coolant levels and watch for signs of any cooling system issues. A pressure gauge test during routine maintenance can catch problems early before they affect transmission performance. The cooling fan now engages properly and keeps everything at the right temperature, even during heavy driving. For peace of mind, you might want to have a leak detection test done if youre still seeing concerning pressure readings. Small coolant leaks can develop into bigger problems if left unchecked.

After initially worrying about major transmission problems, I finally took my E Pace to a certified shop. The mechanic immediately spotted the issue with the pressure sensor connection, just as you described. The car overheating symptoms and rough shifting completely disappeared after they repaired the damaged wiring. Total cost was 120€ for diagnostics and repair, definitely better than expecting a full transmission replacement. The pressure gauge now shows normal readings and the cooling fan cycles properly. My transmission shifts smoothly again with no warning lights. They also performed a full radiator coolant system check which showed everything else was working correctly. The oil cooler and other components were in good condition. Really glad I got this fixed before any serious damage occurred. For anyone else facing similar issues, dont ignore transmission warning signs, getting it checked early saved me from much bigger problems. Regular cooling system maintenance is definitely worth it.

Having experienced nearly identical symptoms with my 2020 Jaguar F Pace Hybrid, this sounds like a serious transmission cooling issue. The grinding and slipping between gears, combined with limp mode activation, strongly suggests the transmission is overheating due to a radiator coolant problem. In my case, the transmission cooling system had a faulty pressure sensor that was not properly regulating coolant flow. This caused the car overheating and the transmission to protect itself by limiting performance. The cooling fan was also not engaging at the correct temperatures, compounding the issue. The radiator repair involved replacing the pressure sensor, flushing the transmission cooling system, and verifying the cooling fan operation. This was definitely a serious repair that required specialized diagnostic equipment. The symptoms you describe match the classic signs of transmission fluid overheating due to inadequate cooling. I would recommend getting a second opinion, but do not delay repairs as continued operation could cause permanent transmission damage. Make sure they perform a complete pressure test of both the engine and transmission cooling systems to properly diagnose the root cause.
