Jazz Oil Pressure Warning Light
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Honda Jazz hybrid is experiencing an oil pressure warning light and an error related to the engine oil temperature sensor, despite the oil level being fine. The issue is suspected to be a bad connection, possibly due to a frayed cable or loose plug on the sensor. A similar case was resolved by inspecting and fixing the wiring harness to the oil temperature sensor, suggesting that taking the car to a workshop for proper diagnostics and repair is advisable.

Cheers for the quick reply! When you say "similar", are we talking the exact same symptoms and error code? Did you fix it yourself, or did you take it to a workshop? I'm reasonably handy, but electrics aren't my strong suit. I've seen the part online for around 30€, but I'm not sure if it's worth it if the connection is the problem.

Yes, exact same symptoms and error code. I didn't want to risk messing with the electronics, so I took it to a workshop. They confirmed it was the oil temperature sensor wiring. They fixed the connection, cleared the code, and it's been fine since. I'd recommend a workshop; they'll have the right diagnostic tools to verify.

Okay, thanks for the advice! Sounds like I'm better off taking it to a workshop. It's frustrating. The repair cost was 95€. Appreciate you sharing your experience!

I had something similar happen with my Jazz. Same oil pressure light and error code. I'd start by inspecting the wiring harness to the oil temperature sensor. Check for damage, corrosion, or loose connections. The issue description suggests the cable or plug connection is defective. That's where I'd look first.
