Thanks for the tip! I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. In your case with the BMW, did the seat completely fail, or was it more intermittent?

Ah, fuses are the first port of call, of course. With the BMW, it was total failure, like someone pulled the plug. It ended up being some module that needed reprogramming due to the voltage issue. It's like when your computer crashes and you have to reinstall the OS! I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for sharing your experience! It sounds like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. The error code was pointing towards a battery issue affecting the seat module. They replaced the battery, and reprogrammed something. Cost me 290€ but at least the seat works again!

That's an odd one! I had a similar gremlin with my old BMW 5 series. The power seats went haywire after the battery had been drained a few times. It's like the car's brain gets scrambled when the voltage drops too low. Did you check the simple things like fuses?
