Juke Hybrid High Voltage Error

I'm having a nightmare with my 2022 Nissan Juke hybrid. I've clocked up 228148 km and recently, I've been getting a 'high-voltage system error' message. It's happened a few times now the engine just shuts off, and I get seriously reduced engine power. It's like the car suddenly decides it's allergic to going fast! There's definitely an error stored in the memory. Any ideas? Is it looking like a simple electrical fault or something more sinister, like a cable damage or inverter issue?

The symptoms you describe point towards a potential issue with the high-voltage battery system. The error message, combined with the engine shutting off and reduced power, suggests the battery may be heavily discharged or defective. Have you checked the electrical wiring for any obvious signs of damage or corrosion?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't specifically checked the wiring, but I didn't see anything obvious at first glance. Where exactly should I be looking? Are there any specific areas prone to damage on the Juke hybrid, or am I better off just getting it checked by a professional? I am not sure what exactly am I looking for, and wouldn't want to cause more harm than good.

While a visual inspection might reveal obvious damage, a thorough diagnosis requires specialized equipment. Given the high-voltage nature of the system, I strongly advise against attempting any repairs yourself. The potential for serious injury is significant. It is best to have the vehicle inspected by a qualified technician with experience in hybrid vehicle systems. This sounds to me like a system malfunction.

Thanks for confirming my fears! I was hoping it would be something simple, but I suspected it was beyond my limited capabilities. I've booked it in with a local workshop that specialises in hybrid vehicles. It was a defective battery. Cost me 290€, but at least it's sorted. Thanks again for the advice!
