Jumper Active Hood Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Citroen Jumper electric is experiencing an "Active hood fault" message and an illuminated airbag warning light. The issue may be linked to the car's crash detection system, possibly due to a defective acceleration sensor. It is advised to have the vehicle diagnosed and repaired by a professional workshop to avoid further complications, particularly with the airbag system.

Besides the illuminated warning lights and the error message, I haven't observed any further anomalies. I'm not quite sure how to check the car sensor, though. Could you give me a hint?

So no other weirdness, just the core symptoms. Given that and the triggered actuators, it really does sound like a sensor issue. Don't mess with the airbags yourself. The active hood system is linked to the airbag deployment, and you could end up making things worse. A defective acceleration sensor is no fun. Best bet is to take it to a workshop; they'll be able to diagnose it properly and replace the faulty sensor. It cost me around 315€, as far as I remember.

I will take your advice and contact a workshop as soon as possible. It's reassuring to know that someone else has experienced a similar issue and has found a solution. I will let you know about the repair.

I have a Jumper as well. That "Active hood fault" message, plus the airbag light, sounds familiar. It's like your car's crash detection system is having a meltdown. Any other symptoms, like weird electrical glitches? Have you checked the car sensor?
