Jumper Exhaust Flap Issue

My 2006 Citroen Jumper with a gasoline engine has 189630 km on it. I think I've got an issue with the exhaust flaps. I'm getting an error stored and the exhaust noise is louder than usual, especially after a cold start. It sounds like the exhaust flap itself might be defective, possibly the flap actuator or motor. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

Sounds familiar. I had something similar happen with my Jumper. Is it affecting your engine performance at all, or just the exhaust noise?

It's hard to tell about the engine performance. It feels a little sluggish, but that might just be me being paranoid now that I'm focusing on it. Did yours also have a louder exhaust after cold start?

Yes, exactly the same symptoms. I'd recommend getting it checked at a workshop. They can properly diagnose the flap actuator or motor issue.

I took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out the exhaust flap was indeed defective. They replaced it, and the total repair cost was 190€. Now the error is gone, the exhaust is back to normal, and the engine sounds healthy again!
